Colorado High School Charter visits Auraria Campus

On April 24, the Community Collaborative Research Center (CCRC) hosted an afternoon workshop for a team of eight high school students and three teachers from the Environmental Fellowship program at Colorado High School Charter - Globeville, Elyria, Swansea (CHSC-GES). The fellows visited CU Denver to learn about the history of displacement in the Auraria neighborhood, then tested out air quality monitors, learned about water quality and sustainability initiatives along Cherry Creek, and met with numerous faculty and students conducting environment- and climate-justice work on campus.
